¹² Then she grabbed hold of him by his garment,+ saying: “Lie down with me!”+ But he left his garment in her hand and took to flight and went on outside.+

⁵ to guard you against the woman stranger,+ against the foreigner who has made her own sayings smooth.+

¹⁴ The mouth of strange women is a deep pit.+ The one denounced by Jehovah will fall into it.+

²⁷ For a prostitute is a deep pit+ and a foreign woman is a narrow well.

⁹ What! Do YOU not know that unrighteous persons will not inherit God’s kingdom?+ Do not be misled. Neither fornicators,+ nor idolaters,+ nor adulterers,*+ nor men kept for unnatural purposes,+ nor men who lie with men,*+

¹⁸ Flee from fornication.+ Every other sin that a man may commit is outside his* body, but he that practices fornication is sinning against his own body.+
