5 Should the righteous one strike me, it would be a loving-kindness;+

And should he reprove me, it would be oil upon the head,+

Which my head would not want to refuse.+

For still there would be even my prayer during their calamities.+

23 For the commandment is a lamp,+ and a light the law is,+ and the reproofs of discipline are the way of life,+

11 True, no discipline seems for the present to be joyous, but grievous;+ yet afterward to those who have been trained by it it yields peaceable fruit,+ namely,* righteousness.+
