¹¹ By reproofs against error you have corrected man,*+

And you consume his desirable things just as a moth+ does.

Surely every earthling man* is an exhalation.+ Se′lah.

²³ For the commandment is a lamp,+ and a light the law is,+ and the reproofs of discipline are the way of life,+

¹⁸ The one neglecting discipline [comes to] poverty and dishonor,+ but the one keeping a reproof is the one that is glorified.+
