²⁸ And he went on to say to man,*

‘Look! The fear of Jehovah*—that is wisdom,+

And to turn away from bad is understanding.’”+

¹³ The fear of Jehovah means the hating of bad.+ Self-exaltation and pride+ and the bad way and the perverse mouth+ I have hated.

⁴⁰ And I will conclude with them an indefinitely lasting covenant,+ that I shall not turn back from behind them, for me to do them good;+ and the fear of me I shall put in their heart in order not to turn aside from me.+

⁷ saying in a loud voice: “FEAR God+ and give him glory,+ because the hour of the judgment by him has arrived,+ and so worship the One who made+ the heaven and the earth and sea and fountains of waters.”+
