¹⁰ But Jehovah himself took delight in crushing him;+ he made him sick.+ If you will set his soul* as a guilt offering,+ he will see his offspring,+ he will prolong [his] days,+ and in his hand what is the delight+ of Jehovah will succeed.+

²⁴ “There are seventy weeks* that have been determined* upon your people+ and upon your holy city,+ in order to terminate the transgression,+ and to finish off sin,+ and to make atonement* for error,+ and to bring in righteousness for times indefinite,+ and to imprint a seal+ upon* vision and prophet,* and to anoint the Holy of Holies.*+

²¹ The one who did not know sin+ he made to be sin*+ for us, that we might become God’s righteousness+ by means of him.

¹³ Christ by purchase+ released+ us from the curse of the Law by becoming a curse+ instead of us, because it is written: “Accursed is every man hanged upon a stake.”*+

¹⁴ who gave himself+ for us that he might deliver+ us from every sort of lawlessness and cleanse+ for himself a people peculiarly his own,+ zealous for fine works.+
