17* Now Jehovah appointed a great fish* to swallow Jo′nah,+ so that Jo′nah came to be in the inward parts of the fish three days and three nights.+
19 and will deliver him up to [men of] the nations to make fun of and to scourge and to impale,*+ and the third day he will be raised up.”+
34 and they will make fun of him and will spit upon him and scourge him and kill him, but three days later he will rise.”+
22 but said: “The Son of man must undergo many sufferings and be rejected by the older men and chief priests and scribes, and be killed,+ and on the third day be raised up.”+
