²⁹ Jehovah is far away from the wicked ones,+ but the prayer of the righteous ones he hears.+

¹² And he went on to say to me: “Do not be afraid,+ O Daniel, for from the first day that you gave your heart to understanding+ and humbling yourself before your God*+ your words have been heard, and I myself have come because of your words.+

³¹ We know that God does not listen to sinners,+ but if anyone is God-fearing and does his will, he listens to this one.+

¹² For [the] eyes+ of Jehovah* are upon the righteous ones, and his ears are toward their supplication;+ but [the] face of Jehovah* is against those doing bad things.”+
