² And upon him the spirit* of Jehovah must settle down,+ the spirit of wisdom+ and of understanding,+ the spirit of counsel and of mightiness,+ the spirit of knowledge+ and of the fear of Jehovah;+

42 Look! My servant,+ on whom I keep fast hold!+ My chosen one,+ [whom] my soul has approved!+ I have put my spirit* in him.+ Justice to the nations is what he will bring forth.+

61 The spirit of the Sovereign Lord Jehovah is upon me,+ for the reason that Jehovah has anointed me+ to tell good news to the meek ones.+ He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,+ to proclaim liberty* to those taken captive+ and the wide opening [of the eyes] even to the prisoners;+

¹⁶ After being baptized Jesus immediately came up from the water; and, look! the heavens were opened up,+ and he saw descending like a dove+ God’s spirit coming upon him.+

⁹ You loved righteousness, and you hated lawlessness. That is why God, your God, anointed+ you with [the] oil of exultation more than your partners.”+
