²⁰ Observe, O my son, the commandment of your father,+ and do not forsake the law of your mother.+

²² Listen to your father who caused your birth,+ and do not despise your mother just because she has grown old.+

²⁰ YOU children, be obedient+ to [your] parents in everything, for this is well-pleasing in [the] Lord.
