31 As if it were a trivial thing for him to walk in the sins of Jer·o·boʹam+ the son of Neʹbat, he also took as wife Jezʹe·bel+ the daughter of Eth·baʹal, the king of the Si·doʹni·ans,+ and began to serve Baʹal+ and to bow down to him.

13 For your gods have become as many as your cities, O Judah, and you have set up as many altars to the shameful thing* as there are streets in Jerusalem, altars to make sacrifices to Baʹal.’+
