35 And all his sons and all his daughters kept rising up to comfort him,+ but he kept refusing to take comfort and saying:+ “For I shall go down mourning to my son into Sheʹol!”* And his father continued weeping for him.

30 But if it is something created that Jehovah will create,+ and the ground has to open its mouth and swallow up them+ and everything that belongs to them and they have to go down alive into Sheʹol,*+ YOU will then know for certain that these men have treated Jehovah disrespectfully.”+

6 And you must act according to your wisdom,+ and not let his gray hairs go down in peace+ to Sheʹol.*+

10 All that your hand finds to do, do with your very power,+ for there is no work nor devising nor knowledge+ nor wisdom+ in Sheʹol,*+ the place to which you are going.+

14 “From the hand of Sheʹol* I shall redeem them;+ from death* I shall recover them.*+ Where are your stings, O Death?+ Where is your destructiveness, O Sheʹol?*+ Compassion itself will be concealed from my eyes.+

27 because you will not leave my soul in Haʹdes,* neither will you allow your loyal one to see corruption.+

13 And the sea gave up those dead in it, and death and Haʹdes* gave up those dead+ in them, and they were judged individually according to their deeds.+
