45 Then the A·malʹek·ites+ and the Caʹnaan·ites who were dwelling in that mountain came on down and began striking them and went scattering them as far as Horʹmah.+

17 But Judah marched on with Simʹe·on his brother, and they proceeded to strike the Caʹnaan·ites inhabiting Zeʹphath and to devote it to destruction.+ Hence the name of the city was called Horʹmah.*+
