2 Siʹhon+ the king of the Amʹor·ites, who dwelt in Heshʹbon,+ ruling from A·roʹer,+ which was on the bank of the torrent valley of Arʹnon,+ and the middle of the torrent valley, and half of Gilʹe·ad as far as Jabʹbok+ the torrent valley, the boundary of the sons of Amʹmon,

21 At this Jehovah the God of Israel gave Siʹhon and all his people into Israel’s hand, so that they struck them and Israel took possession of all the land of the Amʹor·ites inhabiting that land.+

9 “‘But as for me, I had annihilated the Amʹor·ite+ on account of them, whose height was like the height of cedars, and who was vigorous like the massive trees;+ and I went annihilating his fruitage above and his roots below.+
