12Now Mirʹi·am and Aaron began to speak against Moses on account of the Cushʹite* wife whom he had taken, because it was a Cushʹite wife he had taken.+
2 And all the sons of Israel began to murmur against Moses and Aaron,+ and all the assembly began to say against them: “If only we had died in the land of Egypt, or if only we had died in this wilderness!
23 for rebelliousness+ is the same as the sin of divination,+ and pushing ahead presumptuously* the same as [using] uncanny power and teraphim.*+ Since you have rejected the word of Jehovah,+ he* accordingly rejects you from being king.”*+
