19 And I shall have to break the pride of YOUR strength and make YOUR heavens like iron+ and YOUR earth like copper.

17 and Jehovah’s anger does blaze against YOU, and he does shut up the heavens so that no rain will occur+ and the ground will not give its produce and YOU have to perish speedily from off the good land that Jehovah is giving YOU.+

35 “When heaven is shut up so that no rain occurs,+ because they kept sinning+ against you, and they actually pray toward this place+ and laud your name, and from their sin they turn back, because you kept afflicting them,+

17 And E·liʹjah*+ the Tishʹbite from the inhabitants* of Gilʹe·ad+ proceeded to say to Aʹhab: “As Jehovah the God of Israel before whom I do stand*+ is living,+ there will occur during these years neither dew nor rain,+ except at the order of my word!”+

4 On account of the soil that has been shattered because there has occurred no downpour upon the land,+ the farmers have become ashamed; they have covered their head.+

7 “‘And as for me, I also withheld from YOU people the downpour when there were yet three months to the harvest;+ and I made it rain on one city, but on another city I would not make it rain. There was one tract of land that would be rained on, but a tract of land on which I would not make it rain* would be dried up.+
