11 However, Pharʹaoh also called for the wise men and the sorcerers;+ and the magic-practicing priests of Egypt themselves also proceeded to do the same thing with their magic arts.+

31 “‘Do not turn yourselves to the spirit mediums,*+ and do not consult professional foretellers of events,+ so as to become unclean by them. I am Jehovah YOUR God.

12 For everybody doing these things is something detestable to Jehovah, and on account of these detestable things Jehovah your God is driving them away from before you.+

6 For you have forsaken your people, the house of Jacob.+ For they have become full of what is from the East,+ and they are practicers of magic+ like the Phi·lisʹtines, and with the children of foreigners they abound.*+
