2 And the days of David gradually drew near for him to die;+ and he proceeded to command Solʹo·mon his son, saying:

11 “‘“And it must occur that when your days have come to the full [for you] to go [to be] with your forefathers,+ I shall certainly raise up your seed after you that will come to be one of your sons,+ and I shall indeed firmly establish his kingship.+

29 “Men, brothers, it is allowable to speak with freeness of speech to YOU concerning the family head David, that he both deceased+ and was buried and his tomb is among us to this day.
