14 Thus Aʹbram got to hear that his brother had been taken captive.+ With that he mustered his trained men,+ three hundred and eighteen slaves born in his household,*+ and went in pursuit up to Dan.+
34Then Moses proceeded to go up from the desert plains of Moʹab into Mount Neʹbo,+ to the top of Pisʹgah,+ which fronts toward Jerʹi·cho.+ And Jehovah went showing him all the land, Gilʹe·ad as far as Dan,+
29 Furthermore, they called the name of the city Dan by the name of their father, Dan,+ who had been born to Israel.+ Nevertheless, Laʹish was the city’s name at first.+
20Consequently all the sons of Israel went out+ and the assembly congregated themselves as one man,+ from Dan+ down to Beʹer-sheʹba*+ along with the land of Gilʹe·ad,+ to Jehovah at Mizʹpah.+
29 It was only the sins of Jer·o·boʹam+ the son of Neʹbat, with which he caused Israel to sin,+ that Jeʹhu did not turn aside from following them, [that is,] the golden calves+ of which one was in Bethʹel and one in Dan.+
