9 At this Jehovah said to Moses: “Look! I am coming to you in a dark cloud,+ in order that the people may hear when I speak with you,+ and that in you also they may put faith to time indefinite.”+ Then Moses reported the words of the people to Jehovah.

9 And the head of Eʹphra·im is Sa·marʹi·a,+ and the head of Sa·marʹi·a is the son of Rem·a·liʹah.+ Unless YOU people have faith, YOU will in that case not be of long duration.”’”+

6 Moreover, without faith+ it is impossible to please [him] well,+ for he that approaches God must believe that he is+ and that he becomes the rewarder*+ of those earnestly seeking him.+
