11 And now make confession+ to Jehovah the God of YOUR forefathers and do his pleasure+ and separate yourselves from the peoples of the land and from the foreign wives.”+

2 And the seed of Israel proceeded to separate+ themselves from all the foreigners,*+ and to stand and make confession+ of their own sins+ and the errors of their fathers.+

28 As for the rest of the people, the priests,+ the Levites,+ the gatekeepers,+ the singers,+ the Nethʹi·nim*+ and everyone separating himself from the peoples of the lands+ to the law+ of the [true] God, their wives, their sons and their daughters, everyone having knowledge [and] understanding,+
