12 Further, when he offered the sacrifices, Abʹsa·lom sent for* A·hithʹo·phel+ the Giʹlon·ite,+ David’s counselor,+ from his city Giʹloh.+ And the conspiracy+ kept getting stronger, and the people were continually growing in number+ with Abʹsa·lom.
23 And the counsel of A·hithʹo·phel, with which he counseled in those days, was just as when a man* would inquire of the word of the [true] God.* That was the way all the counsel+ of A·hithʹo·phel+ was both to David and to Abʹsa·lom.
