9 And Jehovah went on to say to Moses: “I have looked at this people and here it is a stiff-necked people.+

8 Now do not stiffen YOUR neck+ as YOUR forefathers did. Give place* to Jehovah+ and come to his sanctuary+ that he has sanctified+ to time indefinite and serve+ Jehovah YOUR God, that his burning anger+ may turn back from YOU.

29 A man* repeatedly reproved+ but making his neck hard+ will suddenly be broken, and that without healing.+

51 “Obstinate* men and uncircumcised in hearts+ and ears, YOU are always resisting the holy spirit; as YOUR forefathers did, so YOU do.+

16 These men are murmurers,+ complainers about their lot in life,* proceeding according to their own desires,+ and their mouths speak swelling things,+ while they are admiring personalities*+ for the sake of [their own] benefit.
