5 My son, to my wisdom O do pay attention.+ To my discernment incline your ears,+

20 He that is walking with wise persons will become wise,+ but he that is having dealings with the stupid ones will fare badly.+

3 Incline YOUR ear+ and come to me.+ Listen, and YOUR soul will keep alive,+ and I shall readily conclude with YOU people an indefinitely lasting covenant+ respecting the loving-kindnesses* to David that are faithful.*+

5 While he was yet speaking, look! a bright cloud overshadowed them, and, look! a voice out of the cloud, saying: “This is my Son, the beloved, whom I have approved;+ listen to him.”+
