20 and they must say to the older men of his city, ‘This son of ours is stubborn and rebellious; he is not listening to our voice,+ being a glutton*+ and a drunkard.’+

17 He that is loving merriment will be an individual in want;+ he that is loving wine and oil will not gain riches.+

17 Happy are you, O land, when your king is the son of noble ones and your own princes eat at the proper time for mightiness, not for mere drinking.+

21 envies, drunken+ bouts, revelries, and things like these. As to these things I am forewarning YOU, the same way as I did forewarn YOU, that those who practice+ such things will not inherit God’s kingdom.+
