20 And they came to be helped against them, so that the Hagʹrites and all those who were with them were given into their hand, for it was to God that they called for aid+ in the war, and he let himself be entreated in their favor because they trusted in him.+
9 In fact, we felt within ourselves that we had received the sentence of death. This was that we might have our trust,+ not in ourselves, but in the God who raises up the dead.+
6 Moreover, without faith+ it is impossible to please [him] well,+ for he that approaches God must believe that he is+ and that he becomes the rewarder*+ of those earnestly seeking him.+
