16 Jacob became father to Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom Jesus was born,+ who is called Christ.+

35 In answer the angel said to her: “Holy spirit+ will come upon you, and power of the Most High will overshadow you. For that reason also what is born will be called holy,+ God’s Son.+

22 And they all began to give favorable witness about him and to marvel at the winsome words+ proceeding out of his mouth, and they were saying: “This is a son of Joseph, is it not?”+

42 and they began saying:+ “Is this not Jesus the son of Joseph,+ whose father and mother we know? How is it that now he says, ‘I have come down from heaven’?”
