74 Then he started to curse and swear: “I do not know the man!” And immediately a cock crowed.+

72 And immediately a cock crowed a second time;+ and Peter recalled the saying that Jesus spoke to him: “Before a cock crows twice, you will disown me three times.”+ And he broke down and gave way to weeping.+

60 But Peter said: “Man, I do not know what you are saying.” And instantly, while he was yet speaking, a cock crowed.+

38 Jesus answered: “Will you surrender your soul* in my behalf? Most truly I say to you, A cock will by no means crow until you have disowned me three times.”+
