20 For I am afraid that somehow, when I arrive,+ I may find YOU not as I could wish and I may prove to be to YOU not as YOU could wish, but, instead, there should somehow be strife, jealousy,+ cases of anger, contentions, backbitings, whisperings, cases of being puffed up, disorders.+

15 True, some are preaching the Christ through envy and rivalry,+ but others also through goodwill.+

17 but the former do it out of contentiousness,+ not with a pure motive, for they are supposing to stir up tribulation+ [for me] in my [prison] bonds.

14 But if YOU have bitter jealousy+ and contentiousness+ in YOUR hearts, do not be bragging*+ and lying against the truth.+
