4 But as for me, I said: “It is for nothing that I have toiled.+ For unreality and vanity I have used up my own power.+ Truly my judgment is with Jehovah,+ and my wages with my God.”*+

2 But I went up as a result of a revelation.+ And I laid before them+ the good news which I am preaching* among the nations, privately, however, before those who were outstanding men, for fear that somehow I was running+ or had run in vain.+

5 That is why, indeed, when I could bear it no longer, I sent to know of YOUR faithfulness,*+ as perhaps in some way the Tempter+ might have tempted YOU, and our labor might have turned out to be in vain.+
