8 Because of restraint* and of judgment he was taken away;*+ and who will concern himself even with [the details of] his generation?*+ For he was severed+ from the land of the living ones.+ Because of the transgression+ of my people he had the stroke.*+

19 But it was with precious blood,+ like that of an unblemished and spotless lamb,+ even Christ’s.+

10 The love is in this respect, not that we have loved God, but that he loved us and sent forth his Son as a propitiatory+ sacrifice*+ for our sins.+

9 And they sing a new song,+ saying: “You are worthy to take the scroll and open its seals, because you were slaughtered and with your blood+ you bought+ persons for God+ out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation,
