5 But he was being pierced+ for our transgression;+ he was being crushed for our errors.+ The chastisement meant for our peace was upon him,+ and because of his wounds+ there has been a healing for us.+

17 For if by the trespass of the one [man]+ death ruled as king+ through that one, much more will those who receive the abundance of the undeserved kindness+ and of the free gift*+ of righteousness rule as kings+ in life through the one [person], Jesus Christ.+

6 who gave himself a corresponding ransom* for all*+—[this is] what is to be witnessed to at its own particular times.
