14 in order that we should no longer be babes, tossed about+ as by waves and carried hither and thither by every wind of teaching+ by means of the trickery+ of men, by means of cunning in contriving error.

8 Look out: perhaps there may be someone who will carry+ YOU off as his prey through the philosophy+ and empty deception*+ according to the tradition of men, according to the elementary+ things of the world and not according to Christ;

2 not to be quickly shaken from YOUR reason nor to be excited either through an inspired expression*+ or through a verbal message+ or through a letter+ as though from us, to the effect that the day+ of Jehovah* is here.
