12 And Jehovah said to Aʹbram: “Go out from your land and away from your relatives and from the house of your father to the land that I will show you.+ 2 I will make you a great nation, and I will bless you, and I will make your name great, and you will become a blessing.+

7 And the Israelites* became fruitful and began to increase greatly, and they kept on multiplying and growing mightier at an extraordinary rate, so that the land became filled with them.+

5 Then you are to declare before Jehovah your God, ‘My father was a wandering* A·ra·maeʹan,+ and he went down to Egypt+ and resided there as a foreigner, with few in his household.+ But there he became a great nation, mighty and numerous.+
