10 So Lot raised his eyes and saw that the whole district of the Jordan+ was a well-watered region (before Jehovah destroyed Sodʹom and Go·morʹrah), like the garden of Jehovah,+ like the land of Egypt, as far as Zoʹar.+

24 Then Jehovah made it rain sulfur and fire on Sodʹom and Go·morʹrah—it came from Jehovah, from the heavens.+

7 In the same manner, Sodʹom and Go·morʹrah and the cities around them also gave themselves over to gross sexual immorality* and pursued unnatural fleshly desires;+ they are placed before us as a warning example by undergoing the judicial punishment of everlasting fire.+
