15 And I will put enmity*+ between you+ and the woman+ and between your offspring*+ and her offspring.*+ He will crush* your head,+ and you will strike* him in the heel.”+

12 Then God said to Abraham: “Do not be displeased by what Sarah is saying to you about the boy and about your slave girl. Listen to her,* for what will be called your offspring* will be through Isaac.+

13 And look! there was Jehovah stationed above it, and he said:

“I am Jehovah the God of Abraham your father and the God of Isaac.+ The land on which you are lying, to you I am going to give it and to your offspring.*+ 14 And your offspring* will certainly become like the dust particles of the earth,+ and you will spread abroad to the west and to the east and to the north and to the south, and by means of you and by means of your offspring* all the families of the ground will certainly be blessed.*+

7 Neither are they all children because they are Abraham’s offspring;*+ rather, “What will be called your offspring* will be through Isaac.”+

16 Now the promises were spoken to Abraham and to his offspring.*+ It does not say, “and to your descendants,”* in the sense of many. Rather, it says, “and to your offspring,”* in the sense of one, who is Christ.+
