26 When I destroy your supply* of bread,*+ ten women will be able to bake your bread in only one oven and then ration your bread by weight;+ and you will eat but you will not be satisfied.+
49 “Jehovah will raise up against you a distant nation,+ from the end of the earth; it will pounce like an eagle,+ a nation whose language you will not understand,+
51 They will eat the offspring of your livestock and the fruitage of your ground until you have been annihilated. They will not leave any grain, new wine or oil, young cattle or sheep for you until they have destroyed you.+
21 So King Zed·e·kiʹah ordered that Jeremiah be put in custody in the Courtyard of the Guard,+ and he was given a round loaf of bread daily from the street of the bakers+ until all the bread in the city was gone.+ And Jeremiah remained in the Courtyard of the Guard.
16 He then said to me: “Son of man, here I am cutting off the food supply* in Jerusalem,+ and with great anxiety they will eat their bread ration by weight,+ and in horror they will drink their water ration by measure.+
