45 David replied to the Phi·lisʹtine: “You are coming against me with sword and spear and javelin,+ but I am coming against you in the name of Jehovah of armies,+ the God of the battle line of Israel, whom you have taunted.*+

7 But I will show mercy to the house of Judah,+ and I will save them by Jehovah their God;+ I will not save them by bow or by sword or by war or by horses or by horsemen.”+
