9 Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom, for Moses had laid his hand on him;+ and the Israelites began to listen to him, and they did just as Jehovah had commanded Moses.+

14 When the apostles in Jerusalem heard that Sa·marʹi·a had accepted the word of God,+ they sent Peter and John to them;

17 Then they laid their hands on them,+ and they began to receive holy spirit.

2 As they were ministering* to Jehovah* and fasting, the holy spirit said: “Set aside for me Barʹna·bas and Saul+ for the work to which I have called them.”+ 3 Then after fasting and praying, they laid their hands on them and sent them off.

14 Do not neglect the gift in you that was given you through a prophecy when the body of elders laid their hands on you.+

22 Never lay your hands hastily on any man;*+ neither become a sharer in the sins of others; keep yourself chaste.

6 For this reason I remind you to stir up like a fire the gift of God that is in you through the laying of my hands on you.+
