45 And the circumcised believers* who had come with Peter were amazed, because the free gift of the holy spirit was being poured out also on people of the nations. 46 For they heard them speaking in foreign languages* and magnifying God.+ Then Peter responded:

8 For to one is given speech* of wisdom through the spirit, to another speech of knowledge according to the same spirit,

10 to yet another operations of powerful works,+ to another prophesying, to another discernment of inspired expressions,+ to another different tongues,*+ and to another interpretation of tongues.+
