34 When Eʹsau was 40 years old, he took as wife Juʹdith the daughter of Be·eʹri the Hitʹtite and also Basʹe·math the daughter of Eʹlon the Hitʹtite.+ 35 They were a source of great grief* to Isaac and Re·bekʹah.+

46 After that Re·bekʹah kept saying to Isaac: “I am disgusted with my life because of the daughters of Heth.+ If Jacob ever takes a wife from the daughters of Heth, like these daughters of the land, what good is my life?”+
