12 Jehovah now said to Moses: “Come up to me on the mountain and stay there. I will give you the stone tablets with the law and the commandment that I will write for their instruction.”+

15 Moses then turned and went down from the mountain with the two tablets of the Testimony+ in his hand.+ The tablets were inscribed on both sides; they were written on the front and on the back.

13 And he declared his covenant to you,+ which he commanded you to observe—the Ten Commandments.*+ Afterward, he wrote them on two tablets of stone.+

15 “Then I turned and went down the mountain while the mountain was burning with fire,+ and the two tablets of the covenant were in both my hands.+
