6 Anyone shedding man’s blood, by man will his own blood be shed,+ for in God’s image He made man.+

13 “You must not murder.+

20 If death resulted because he pushed him out of hatred or threw something at him with malicious intent,*+ 21 or out of hatred he struck him with his hand, and he died, the one who struck him will be put to death without fail. He is a murderer. The avenger of blood will put the murderer to death when he encounters him.

21 “You heard that it was said to those of ancient times: ‘You must not murder,+ but whoever commits a murder will be accountable to the court of justice.’+

9 For the law code, “You must not commit adultery,+ you must not murder,+ you must not steal,+ you must not covet,”+ and whatever other commandment there is, is summed up in this saying: “You must love your neighbor as yourself.”+
