13 As a father shows mercy to his sons,

Jehovah has shown mercy to those who fear him.+

13 The one covering over his transgressions will not succeed,+

But whoever confesses and abandons them will be shown mercy.+

25 I, I am the One who is blotting out your transgressions*+ for my own sake,+

And I will not remember your sins.+

22 I will blot out your transgressions as with a cloud+

And your sins as with a thick cloud.
