7 I will cut Israel off from the surface of the land that I have given to them,+ and the house that I have sanctified for my name I will cast out of my sight,+ and Israel will become an object of scorn* and a cause for ridicule among all the peoples.+

12 “‘However, go now to my place in Shiʹloh,+ where I first caused my name to reside,+ and see what I did to it because of the badness of my people Israel.+

14 So I will do to the house that bears my name,+ in which you are trusting,+ and to this place that I gave to you and your forefathers, just as I did to Shiʹloh.+

18 Incline your ear, O my God, and hear! Do open your eyes and see our desolate condition and the city that has been called by your name; for we are not entreating you because of our righteous acts but because of your great mercy.+
