48 The king then elevated Daniel and gave him many fine gifts, and he made him the ruler over all the province* of Babylon+ and the chief prefect over all the wise men of Babylon.

13 So Daniel was brought in before the king. The king asked Daniel: “Are you Daniel of the exiles of Judah,+ whom my father the king brought out of Judah?+

29 Then Bel·shazʹzar gave the command, and they clothed Daniel with purple and placed a gold necklace around his neck; and they heralded concerning him that he was to become the third ruler in the kingdom.+
