9 They will serve Jehovah their God and David their king, whom I will raise up for them.”+

23 I will raise up one shepherd over them,+ my servant David,+ and he will feed them. He himself will feed them and become their shepherd.+ 24 And I, Jehovah, will become their God,+ and my servant David a chieftain among them.+ I myself, Jehovah, have spoken.

24 “‘“My servant David will be their king,+ and they will all have one shepherd.+ They will walk in my judicial decisions and carefully observe my statutes.+ 25 They will dwell on the land that I gave to my servant, to Jacob, where your forefathers lived,+ and they will dwell on it forever,+ they and their children* and their children’s children;+ and David my servant will be their chieftain* forever.+

31 And look! you will become pregnant* and give birth to a son,+ and you are to name him Jesus.+ 32 This one will be great+ and will be called Son of the Most High,+ and Jehovah God will give him the throne of David his father,+ 33 and he will rule as King over the house of Jacob forever, and there will be no end to his Kingdom.”+
