12 And he says: “You will exult no more,+

O oppressed one, the virgin daughter of Siʹdon.

 4 Because the day that is coming will destroy all the Phi·lisʹtines;+

It will cut off from Tyre+ and Siʹdon+ every remaining ally.

For Jehovah will destroy the Phi·lisʹtines,

Who are the remaining ones from the island of Caphʹtor.*+

 9 This is what Jehovah says,

‘For three revolts of Tyre,+ and for four, I will not reverse it,

Because they handed over a whole group of exiles to Eʹdom,

And because they did not remember the covenant of brothers.+

10 So I will send a fire onto the wall of Tyre,

And it will consume her fortified towers.’+

“The word of Jehovah is against the land of Haʹdrach,

And Damascus is its target*+

—For Jehovah’s eye is on mankind+

And on all the tribes of Israel—

 2 And against Haʹmath,+ which borders on her,

And against Tyre+ and Siʹdon,+ for they are so wise.+
