28 Then they led Jesus from Caʹia·phas to the governor’s residence.+ It was now early in the morning. But they themselves did not enter into the governor’s residence, so that they would not get defiled+ but could eat the Passover.
28 He said to them: “You well know how unlawful it is for a Jew to associate with or approach a man of another race,+ and yet God has shown me that I should call no man defiled or unclean.+
2 So when Peter came up to Jerusalem, the supporters of circumcision+ began to criticize him,*3 saying: “You went into the house of men who were not circumcised and ate with them.”
