12 However, to all who did receive him, he gave authority to become God’s children,+ because they were exercising faith in his name.+

23 Not only that, but we ourselves also who have the firstfruits, namely, the spirit,+ yes, we ourselves groan within ourselves+ while we are earnestly waiting for adoption as sons,+ the release from our bodies by ransom.+

5 For he foreordained us+ to be adopted as his own sons+ through Jesus Christ, according to his good pleasure and will,+

3 See what sort of love the Father has given us,+ that we should be called children of God!+ And that is what we are. That is why the world does not know us,+ because it has not come to know him.+
