35 “‘“I, Jehovah, have spoken. This is what I will do to all this evil assembly, those who have gathered together against me: In this wilderness they will come to their end, and here they will die.+

10 Now I want you to know, brothers, that our forefathers were all under the cloud+ and all passed through the sea+

5 Nevertheless, God was not pleased with most of them, for they were struck down in the wilderness.+

16 For who heard and yet provoked him to bitter anger? Was it not, in fact, all those who went out of Egypt under Moses?+

19 So we see that they could not enter in because of lack of faith.+
